Spuds Are Ready!

My potatoes are ready for bandicooting. I dug this one for tea tonight as he was so big! No need to let it split by leaving it in the ground.

No doubt there are tons more there ready for bandicooting too. Woopeee!!!

Nothing is nicer than a freshly dug spud! ;D

I envy you your initiative - and your potatoes. That potato looks so fresh and tempting. The potatoes we are buying go green in a couple of days. :(

How could you do this to me? There is nothing lovlier to taste than home grown vegetables and you are expert at that. Did you grow these by the old method Sim? Did you buy the seed potatoes?

    HI!!

    Yes, it was really delicious!

I grow my potatoes by the very old fashioned Tasmanian method Val. Organically of course.

Nope, I never buy seed potatoes. I always go to the Supermarket daily to get the fruit & veges they put out for the people to take for the animals and there are heaps of various kinds of potatoes turning green in there, I bring the veges home for the fowls and ducks and plant the green potatoes!

There are all types in the garden!
I had to lift some pink ones today.

    Mike, you've got buckley's.

    Sim,

Do you have pics of the animals you feed?

    Addendum:

I had planned to offer some pics of my animal kingdom friends that feed at my place. However, the pest control guy done them all in when he sprayed. The ants were generally too small to ger a good pic and the roaches never would come out in the open except in the middle of the night.

Something's got to be done about that pest controller red.
